• A backup of your original Faceniff 2.1b apk file.

1. Connect your Android device to your computer via USB and enable USB debugging mode.
2. Open a command prompt on your computer and type adb devices to make sure your device is recognized.
3. Type adb pull /data/app/org.ponury.faceniff-1.apk faceniff.apk to copy the Faceniff apk file from your device to your computer.
4. Make a backup of the faceniff.apk file and rename it to faceniff.bak.
5. Open the faceniff.apk file with HxD and search for the hex string 0F 84 9E 00 00 00. This is the instruction that checks if the app is activated or not.
6. Replace the hex string with 90 90 90 90 90 90. This will make the app skip the activation check and always return true.
7. Save the faceniff.apk file and close HxD.

Once you have unlocked Faceniff 2.1b, you can use it to hijack web sessions from other devices connected to the same WiFi network as you. Here are the steps to use Faceniff:

1. Launch the Faceniff app on your device and grant it root access.
2. Navigate to the top left button labeled “Offline” and turn it to “Online” mode. Then tap on the label “START”.
3. If you are using HTTPS websites, turn on SSLSniff. This will allow you to intercept encrypted sessions as well.
4. The Faceniff application will then start to display the unencrypted sessions that it detects on the network. You will see icons of different services such as Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, etc. and the names of the users who are logged in.
5. To hijack a session, simply tap on the icon of the service that you want to access. You will be redirected to the web browser with the session of the user that you selected.
6. You can now browse, post, comment, like, etc. as if you were that user. Be careful not to do anything suspicious or malicious that might alert the user or the service provider.
7. To stop hijacking a session, tap on the “STOP” button on the Faceniff app. You can also clear the list of sessions by tapping on the “CLEAR” button.
