Here are some of the highlights of Overlord IV:

    • In episode 1, Ainz is depressed to be surrounded only by loyal servants and misses his former guild members. He establishes an orphanage in E-Rantel to identify talented individuals at a young age for the benefit of Nazarick. He also hires widows of the dead Re-Estize soldiers as workers to provide them with a living. Albedo clashes with Aura over spending time with Ainz and reveals that E-Rantel is suffering from a lack of resources as merchants are too scared to visit now that Ainz is king. Albedo is granted permission to visit Re-Estize.
    • In episode 2, Ainz approaches Ainzach, the master of the local adventurer’s guild, and asks to absorb the guild into his kingdom and put the adventurers to work exploring unknown lands and establishing diplomatic ties with undiscovered kingdoms. Ainz announces his plan to rule both human and non-human species in a kingdom where all can live together in peace. Meanwhile, Princess Renner establishes an orphanage in Re-Estize to identify magically talented orphans. As Prince Barbro is still missing, his brother Zanac becomes acting crown prince of Re-Estize. Deeply affected by Gazef’s death, Brain seeks out children with sword skills to potentially replace Gazef.
    • In episode 3, Albedo arrives in Re-Estize and meets with Zanac and Renner. She offers them a deal: if they surrender their kingdom to Ainz, they will be spared and given a place in Nazarick. Zanac is reluctant but Renner agrees, revealing that she has been secretly working with Nazarick for a long time and that she is in love with Climb, her loyal bodyguard. Albedo gives Renner a ring that will allow her to transform into a heteromorphic being like Ainz and Climb.
    • In episode 4, Ainz visits the Baharuth Empire and meets with Emperor Jircniv at a colosseum. He challenges the Warrior King, the empire’s greatest fighter, to a duel. The Warrior King turns out to be Baziwood Peshmel, Jircniv’s loyal friend and subordinate. Ainz easily defeats him and spares his life, but reveals that he knows Jircniv’s plan to ally with the Slane Theocracy against him. Ainz declares that he will not tolerate any opposition to his rule and warns Jircniv to submit or face his wrath.
    • In episode 5, Ainz visits the Draconic Kingdom and meets with the Dragon Queen, Draudillon Oriculus. She asks him for help against the Beastman Country, which has been invading her lands and killing her people. Ainz agrees to lend her some of his Death Knights in exchange for information about the Dragon Lords, the ancient dragons that once ruled the world. He also meets with Brightness Dragon Lord, one of the few surviving Dragon Lords who opposes Ainz and Nazarick.
